Situated in the heart of Toronto, 160 Front Street West is a 46-storey structural steel-framed commercial office tower designed to add a distinctive silhouette to the city’s skyline. Developed by Cadillac Fairview, a leading North American real estate company, and brought to life by the visionary design of AS + GG Architecture, the building stands as an architectural masterpiece. This unique commercial tower is the seventh tallest building in the city and soars to an impressive height of 239.87m / 787 ft. It replaces a long-standing parking lot with 1.2 million ft² of premium office space.
Emphasizing Cadillac Fairview’s commitment to cutting-edge technology and architectural excellence, SACO was asked to come on board to design and manufacture an innovative and prominent feature of the building – its programmable LED video lighting system.
SACO’s V-Stick S product was carefully selected as it seamlessly integrates with the sleek and modern architectural elements, enhancing the building’s aesthetic appeal at night while maintaining the architectural daytime appearance. The V-Stick S is also a perfect direct-view linear light tool that delivered the client’s vision of clean architectural integration. The lighting solution allows for dynamic colour sequences that can be customized to suit various national holidays, events, or seasons, creating a versatile and captivating experience. SACO’s LED video technology also prioritizes energy efficiency, aligning with modern sustainability standards, which is at the forefront of our client’s vision.
