Orlando International Airport’s new Terminal C hosts a series of immersive multimedia experiences and installations, which explore the surroundings of greater Central Florida. The newly designed terminal reimagines the passenger experience by offering invited moments of interactivity within one of the world’s busiest airports. SACO collaborated with a wide variety of world-class partners to bring this cutting-edge project to life.
“Working with forward-thinking clients like GOAA to develop the latest advancements in LED technology to redefine air travel is a dream. We were also excited to collaborate once again with Sardi Design, a partner with whom we’ve shared many successful ventures in the past. Sardi Design’s proficiency added an extra layer of creativity and expertise ensuring that our screens offer seamless integration, exceptional clarity, vivid colors, and remarkable contrast so that every piece of content displayed is a treat for the eyes.”
– Proudly stated by Jonathan Labbee – CO-CEO of SACO
The Moment Vault installation in the Airside Hub of the terminal is a feature where passengers can walk through three curved double-sided SACO M-Series 2mm LED video screens that form a 360 interactive experience. The tight pixel-pitch screens allow for powerful real-time content rendering that transform up to 30 moving passengers into another world at a time.
A secondary installation, Windows on Orlando, are a series of three 32-foot-high M-Series 4mm LED video screens, designed and manufactured by SACO, spanning 114 feet that help give the illusion of three windows that reveal changing scenery reflecting Orlando’s environment. Situated in a connecting hallway of Terminal C, passengers will walk parallel to the hi-res screens, presented with photo-realistic content as they pass by.
