LIGHTING UP MARKET AVENUE
During the past few weeks, new dynamic light prisms were installed along the north side of Market Avenue, Winnipeg. This one of a kind multi-faceted lights provide a high visual impact and animate the street.
Whistling creates a dialogue with the lights, as a method of playing with effects. Pedestrians will be encouraged to participate in creating the light ambience of Market Avenue, by building on the northern light’s legend, that whistling makes the lights dance and move around.
SACO Design Lab produced and installed these unique Custom Lighting Fixtures in collaboration with McGowan Russell and Moment Factory. You can see the lights in action here:
